Reckless was a sheepdog which would have lived on the farm in Spooky Hollow.
Based on the bio from Reckless and Crows in that same level, he might have either been an obstacle in the Ghost Master's way or the solution to how to heard the crows in order to free Scarecrow before his puzzle was changed to the one in the final version.
