The Uninvited was a cut scenario and would have been the first visit to Carter's Mansion. The location would have been visited again in Where There's a Will... / The Butler Didn't Do It and Dark Passage.

Mission Goal

While the exact reasons for us doing so are unknown the mission would have tasked the Ghost Master with scaring away 3 film students who have come to the mansion.

Trivia

• The level would have featured alive versions of Carter, The Painter (Under the name Vincent Scarlet)and Buck.
• The 3 Film Students featured in the level later on appear in The Blair Wisp Project, it's unknown if they were reused after The Uninvited was cut or if both appearances were planned at the same time.
• Martin 'The Colonel' Musterd's model was reused for Jude Klous in Deadfellas.
• While more of the level is known to exist based on the stairs going up on the first floor and the general shape of the building, only the Basement, Ground Floor and First Floor got screenshots.
• When looking at the floor plans each room is named however 4 rooms are just named "?" and 3 are named "X".
  • Based on the fact that the "?" rooms are textured inside and at least one of them has the entrance to it blocked with bricks they were likely used for something.
  • While the "X" rooms don't have such a clear sign of having a use the fact that they are still rooms unlike the blank area next to the Morgue in The Unusual Suspects and Ghostbreakers for example makes it very likely that they had a use.
• The name of the mission is based on "The Unnameable", a horror short story by H. P. Lovecraft.
  • The storyline of the mission however in addition to it also draws inspiration from two movies, those being 1957's "Night of the Demon" and 1959's "House on Haunted Hill".
