Don Bartholomew believes there are no ghosts - prove him wrong... make him believe.

-Objective

Deadfellas is a scenario occurring in Act II. It takes place onboard a motor yacht named Rosenkava. We haunt this ship due to one passenger's, Don Bartholemev, disrespect towards the dead.

Mortals

Restless Spirits

Recommended Ghosts

This team is focused on providing heavy hitting ghosts who can build belief and scare Don effectively. Soulscreech is a great choice in general due to her Throughfare fetter and a variety of powerful powers. Lucky is a good source of belief due to the abundance of electric fetters scattered around the ship. Additionally, Lucky can be used to free Knuckles by casting Charm on a mortal. Raindancer can be used to free Wavemaster, while Quiver's Fool's Errand can be used to quickly free Fingers, both of which can be covered by Boo who knows Leak from the start and can learn Fool's Errand. Thorne is a great hard hitting ghost who can target Don's Phobia of Blood and Wendel can utilise Chase and Brief Scare to target Don's Phobia of Pursuit. Clatterclaws is an overall good haunter which can be swapped over to a Ghost Masters preference.

Layout

The ship consists of six floors and walkable decks. The top of the ship consists of captains quarter and two stairways on opposite sides of it leading down. The first floor consists of a spiral hallway with a grand staircase leading to the sole. The hallway leads to a small dining room and a small outside deck. The sole of the ship consists of a large hallway with two staircases leading down, a large lounge with a piano in which Fingers is bound to, a small casino with a roulette table to which Knuckles is bound to. Both the hallway and lounge lead to the deck of the ship with anchors on the back of the ship. The lower floor of the ship consists of guest cabins with a large private cabin occupied by Don with a large bathroom attached to it. The private room also houses Flash Jordan bound to Don's grandma's ashes. Two smaller bathrooms are available to other passengers at the opposite end of the floor. The next floor of the ship consists of crews quarter with attached bathrooms, a kitchen and a storage room connected by two hallways and stairs leading to the engine room. The engine room is a large open area with Wavemaster trapped within the engine itself. It connects to a room containing the bilge pump.

Cut Content

Originally the level was also going to feature an underwater area underneeth the ship, the exact purpose for what the area would have been used for is unknown however it would have originally been where Fingers or Flash Jordan (Which one depending on time) would have been bound to as a restless spirit next to their corpse as opposed to their locations in the final version. The reason for the cut is said to have been due to it being a "colossal nightmare" in practice as the ship and sea floor were quite a distance away from each other.

Narrator Voice Lines

Normal Lines
Briefing
"Mortals are such pathetic, amusing creatures that we of the dead rarely feel the need to involve ourselves in their poorly justified beliefs - unless, of course those beliefs pertain to our existence. Don Bartholomew, a criminal mortal of some self-importance, has been badmouthing the dead, claiming that 'there ain't such ting as ghosts'. We ask that you persuade him to change his mind."
Objective
"Don Bartholomew believes there are no ghosts - prove him wrong... make him believe."
Don's belief rises
"You will soon have forced Don Bartholomew to believe in the supernatural - you should conclude any other business before it is too late."
Don's belief reaches maximum
"Congratulations, you have converted the Don to belief in the supernatural - long may he live in fear."
Don flees
"Don Bartholomew has fled in terror - he will not deny our existence lightly in the future."
Ghost tries to affect the bilge pump
"It will take the hands of a mortal to work the bilge pump efficiently."
Beta Lines
Briefing
"If there's one thing the Haunting Comitee cannot stand is when some smug mortal arrogantly declears that we don't exist! Mob Boss and gangster Don Bartholomew, cocky and deffient, made such a boast when he was giving Flash Jordan, an undercover reporter, concrete boots. She swore she'd haunt him but he merely laughed and said 'They no such ting as ghosts' . Our bidding is for you to prove him wrong! Make him believe!"
