- Tony Bunz is based on Sonny Bunz, a character played by Tony Darrow in a 1990 biographical crime movie called Goodfellas.
- Tony and the rest of the gangsters in Field of Nightmares would have had a slighly changed bio, saying the exact same thing as they did in Deadfellas but with an added "Don't let him reach the farmer!" at the end.
