Thorne
This pirate captain refused to part with his ship 'Ticantin' when it was sunk. Even in death, he stood guard over his beloved vessel, terrorizing aquatic life that 'threatened' it. When his ship was finally lifted from the depths, he was more than ready.

Thorne was a pirate, who in 1776 blackmailed Lieutenant Jackson into helping him rob Fort Graven of its gold. Although you fought against him in the past, you have struck an uneasy alliance after rescuing him from the Ghostbreaker crew.

Thorne is a pirate Wight who joins the Ghost Master's team at the start of Act 1. Originally, he was supposed to appear as an enemy haunter in The Abysmal.
Appearance
Thorne is a skeleton of a pirate captain. He wears a striped brown shirt, black trousers heald up by a dark brown belt with a golden buckle, a red pirate frock coat with golden epaulettes on each shoulder, a red tricorn with a golden decal on the front and two yellow feathers coming out of it, a grey eyepatch over his left eye socket and a single black boot with golden buckle on his right foot. The frock and the trousers are torn in places and expose the Thorne's bones and two shirt cuffs on each one of his wrists. Thorne is missing his left leg, which he replaced with a wooden peg leg. Thorne wields a cutlass with a golden handle and iron blade covered in algae. Thorn's teeth are crooked and elongated.
Cut Content
Thorne was the main focus of a cut mission The Abysmal which would have taken place on his sunken ship. Centuries before the events of said mission, Thorne who in 1776 robbed Fort Graven of it's gold with the help of a blackmailed Daydreamer while he was still a mortal known as Lieutenant Jackson. Through unknown circumstances, the ship Thorne used in the robbery was sunk, taking him, Daydreamer and Thorne's wife Lady Rose with it to the bottom of the ocean.
In the mission itself, Thorne would have served as an enemy haunter, stopping any mortals who attempted to swim down and collect his gold. In addition he would have been used as a part of the puzzle to lay to rest Lady Rose, as she is unable to go and be with her true love (Daydreamer) until she knows for sure that their wedding vows have been broken, which would be done by showing Lady Rose his spirit.
Depending on the version of the game, Thorne would have either been freed in The Abysmal at the end of the level, or he would have remained a restless spirits until eventually being captured off screen by the Ghostbreakers and becoming a restless spirit in Ghostbreakers.

Trivia
- Thorne and Smokin Joe are the only leftover ghosts in the game that did not have their audio files left in the game.
- Despite being a cut ghost, Thorne managed to get a Collector's Edition styled render. The render itself did not make it into the Collector's Edition.
- Thorne's animation file is empty. This means that he has no unique animations. As of right now, he uses Black Crow's animations in Complete Edition.
- In the earlier version of Complete Edition, Thorne's fetters used to be Corpse/Earth, just like Black Crow. This was later changed to fit his aquatic theme.
- Thorne's current epitaph has been fully written by the Complete Edition team as at the time of his inclusion it wasn't known, it is unknown if it will be changed now.
- Thorne's ship 'Ticantin' mentioned in it is a reference to the Titanic.
