Harlequin was a ghost that was cut early in the development of the game. They would have been a haunter controlled by the Puppet Master, an Enemy Ghost Master who would have been fought in Dark Passage. It's unknown if they would have ever joined the player.

- Despite being cut very early on, Harlequin seems to be featured on what seem to be early promotional posters.
- Harlequin is a term used to refer to comic servant characters from the Italian commedia dell'arte.
- Based on their connection to the Puppet Master, they were likely supposed to be based on Harlequin Dolls, which, as the name implies, are dolls made in the image of Harlequins.
