This little boy, nicknamed Torchy because of his attachment to his flashlight, loved exploring. In fact, he loved it so much, he went out into the woods and never came back alive...

-Epitaph

Torchy is a Wisp who joins the Ghost Master's team at the start of Act 1. He was supposed to appear in I Know What You Did Last Summer Camp.

If not freed during that mission, he would reappear in Gone With the Wendigo.

Appearance

Torchy is a young boy with blue eyes. He wears a striped blue and white buttoned up shirt, a white undershirt, blue trousers and brown shoes. Torchy holds a large black lantern with both of his hands. Torchy's expression always forms a frown and his face itself looks malnourished, with sunken cheecks, discoloured skin and large black bags under his eyes. Torchy has comed back ginger hair.

Cut Content

Torchy was supposed to appear as a restless spirit in I Know What You Did Last Summer Camp. He was bound to a flashlight somewhere in the woods nearby the camp grounds. To free Torchy, you would have to bring a mortal to him. This was possibly a simple task seeing as Torchy would probably know Hypnotic Image, Intrigue or both. Once a mortal reached his flashlight, the young wisp would be free.

If he was not saved during I Know What You Did Last Summer Camp, he would reappear in Gone With the Wendigo with the same requirements.

Trivia

  • Torchy's original bio incorrectly states that Torchy is attached to a flashlight instead of a lamp.
    • Complete Edition changes the bio to mention a lamp instead.
  • Torchy along with Sick Puppy and Moribund are the first ghosts fully made from scratch by the Complete Edition team.
    • Torchy was modeled an animated by Patatifique and voiced by Radio from the Complete Edition team.
  • The only lines of Torchy that are fully accurate to Torchy before being cut are his two Restless Spirit lines since those were the only ones with transcripts of what they were supposed to be. The other lines were completely made up by the team.
    • The voicelines labeled as "Unused" was recorded with the idea of just being a second banishment line. This is in contrast to other ghosts who have an unused Dispelled line.
  • Torchy used to have a different set of powers until a rework in version 3.0. His original powers were: Hypnotic Image, Delusion, Wild Geese, Intrigue and a choice between Fluster or Moan.
