A single piercing shriek, using the voice of one of the mortals in the nearby area.

-Description

Shriek is a tier 5 noise power with a very big range that causes the haunter to yell out in the voice of a random mortal.

When used has a chance to make mortals interested in the noise and inspect it, in addition it can potentially inflict Curiosity on mortals across the entire level, making them come to the source as well.

Additionally, mortals in the nearby area have a 20% chance of suffering Light Noise Horror.

Trivia

• There's a sound effect in the files which implies that originally instead of taking normal mortal sounds the power would use special sounds
• The description of the power is wrong as the system is not depended on the surroundings of the ghost and not fully random. The way the power actually works is that it will first play a sound from a random female from the level, if the level doesn't have one then a random male, and finally if both aren't in a level it will chose a child's voice.
  • Because all levels in the game have at least one woman in them it is impossible to hear a voice that isn't from a woman
