All mortals who see the monster suffer Medium Normal Horror and Light Belief.

• Thing in the Mirror is one of the few powers that only show up on a single ghost.
  • Other powers like that are Dream Demon, Rattle Chains, Piping and in the base game also Buried Alive, Hypnotic Image and Deadly Pursuit.
• The name of the sound for the power is "haunter_reflectthing", possibly implying that originally it had a name similar to Twist Reflection as it's sound effect is called "haunter_reflecttwist".
• The model used for the titular "thing" in the mirror is called "cthulhugirl", clearly referencing the Lovecraftian monster Cthulhu.
• The "Thing" that shows up in the mirror is a mixture of Lady Rose, Tricia and an unknown third model.
  • Despite Tricia being a part of the monster she can't learn the power.
• The power could be a reference to the The Thing a 1982 American science fiction horror movie featuring a shapeshifting monster refereed to only as "The Thing".
